Midweek School

“Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven.” Jesus (Matthew 10:32-33)

At Emmanuel we take seriously the responsibility entrusted to us and to families to make Jesus known to the next generation, in order that our children will acknowledge Him as their Savior and Lord. Midweek classes are available for children in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades that attend public school, or are homeschooled to share the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

Classes run throughout the school year and are held on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm (ending at 6:45 pm during Advent and Lent).

The students through 6th grade are instructed in basic bible knowledge and history. Students in 7th and 8th grade go through Luther’s Small Catechism, learning the tenets of the Christian faith from our Lutheran understanding. Our 7th and 8th grade classes are designed for students in the public school system or those who are homeschooled.

Preschool through 6th grade classes are called “Dig In” and are highly recommended but are not required in order to be confirmed. Grades 7th and 8th  classes are required in order to meet the requirements of confirmation.

Students who attend Emmanuel-Faith parochial school have their instruction in their daily classes and therefore are not required to attend Midweek classes for 7th and 8th.  They are encouraged to attend “Dig In” to continue their studies.

If you are interested in signing your child(ren) up for Midweek classes simply call the church office at (402) 362-3655.
