Lutheran Laymen’s League

The reason for the Lutheran Laymen’s League is to bring Jesus Christ to the Church and the Church to the Nations. The mission and purpose is to spread the Good News about Jesus to all people.

Jesus is the reason for everything. We as Christians should never be afraid to witness about Jesus. The LLL season starts in September, we have a potluck dinner for members and their families.

The meetings are on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:30pm, October through May. In December there is a Christmas Dinner and activities after the meal. Meetings start out with a prayer and devotions, followed by a short business meeting. The Treasurer and Secretary give their reports as well as any other business interests that may occur. The topic of the evenings are: The Men’s Network, which is about the Qur’an, which is the Muslim Bible and how their beliefs are different from what Christians Believe.

In February, The Lutheran Laymen’s League host and serve a free will offering pancake feed, and on one of the Wednesdays during the Lenten season. Between the 3:30 and 7:00 Church service, another free will offering lunch is served. All proceeds including matching funds from Thrivent for Lutherans goes towards the missions where the LLL Group decides where it will best be used.

Upcoming events are on our Church Web Calendar and include events such as LLL Convention and hosting booths at the York County Fair and Nebraska State Fair.

In Christ,
Matthew Staehr
